I got an email from the exhibits assistant that my Treasures of the Gypsy doll wouldn't be exhibited, because the insurance form wasn't received in July.  The deadline for the doll was October 7.   There's no way I'd know in JULY if I'd even get a doll done for the OCTOBER show, let alone the name, technique or value of the doll.  Anyway, I sent my finished doll express mail, so she was already in Texas by the time I received the email.  Oh well.  I suppose the many hours/days invested in this doll weren't wasted, as I tried some new techniques.

I don't think I'll participate in this challenge again, as I'll NEVER know in July if a doll will get done.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I've seen your doll too. Boy, she is just fantastic. I am happy to hear you got to experiment and learn some new techniques. :)

Ah and see I had the opposite problem. I emailed the form in time, but then it turned out that I just didn't have the time to complete the doll for the competition. What a shame because your doll is so amazing and different.
